This is precisely why I pick the Cowboys to lose every game with confidence of 1.  You never know when Jason Garrett will stop trying to trick the other team all the time.  That said, I should have seen this coming.  The Rams are a clearly inferior team, so Jason Garrett had no one to really out smart.  Against the Eagles this week, he is going to try real hard to out smart Andy Reid, because Reid has this reputation of out smarting others.  Plus, it’s in Philly at night when the Eagles fans have all day to booze it up and reach the height of anti social jerkiness we’ve seen in the past.  It will be ugly all the way around.

Rob Ryan should be applauded.  His defense made a game I believed hopeless a winnable game.  Jason Garrett’s inability to understand the play action pass lost the game.  You use the play action pass when the other team thinks you are going to run.  That last 3 and out was that time.  A play action pass on 2nd down would have won that game.

I am not sure how Cowboy’s management and coaching will blow this game, but it will.  It won’t be until one of the next 2 weeks that Jason Garrett will realize this year’s trickery is not working and will start trying to win by execution and smart play calling.  This is the problem with having a Princeton grad coach your team.  Too smart for his own good.
After this week, the Lions will really start taking it seriously and get really scary.  The 5-0 start gave them a bit of a big head.  Lions meet earth this week.  In their heads they are still making excuses for last week.  Tampa Bay is for real, Bears ain’t.  Everyone is saying Palmer shouldn’t start for Oakland in his first week, but it’s the Chiefs.  Redskins:  EXPOSED!
